In 2020, I started some audio experiments, applying the traditional dub mixing techniques (live mixing, delay, spring reverb, etc.) to some of my other favorite musical genres: 1960s soul and pop. It became a conceptual alter-nostalgic exploration asking "What would have it been like if the recording engineers of the 1960s could have utilized the techniques innovated by King Tubby and the other Jamaican dub engineers of the 1970s?" These songs are the first experiments, all recorded live to cassette tape. I don't think any of these versions improve on the originals, but for me they have been fun to make, and maybe will provide you with some enjoyment too.
